Learning from a professional photographer – Bianca who is from Belgium, got this chance in November in Hamburg. She had previously taken part in the BenQ photo competition “Photography Master Class” and had prevailed against candidates from all over Europe with her street photography shot.
She is spoilt for the choice – which city should she choose for a photo workshop with highly qualified photographers? Paris, Amsterdam or Hamburg? In the end, hobby photographer Bianca chose the beautiful Hanseatic city. There she met BenQ brand ambassador and color management expert Michael B. Rehders, who guided the winner through the three-day workshop with exciting and instructive program items. The photojournalist and native Hamburger gave Bianca great insights into the workflow of a photo production. From booking the model to the selection of the clothes and the location to the image editing, everything was included.
The winner chose everything according to her ideas and then began to make staged shots under guidance. A highlight was the big photo shooting in the Speicherstadt, where Bianca took brilliant pictures in bright sunshine. Another highlight of the photo event was the Photowalk through Hamburg. Unique street photography pictures were taken at spontaneously selected locations. For example, Bianca photographed the basement of a World War II bunker, but also the Schanzenviertel and the Reeperbahn. Furthermore, Michael and Bianca made their way to the port of Hamburg and then to the old Elb tunnel to take more striking pictures. The three exciting and eventful days were rounded off by the photo editing on the monitor. Here Michael B. Rehders showed the winner helpful tips and tricks. Bianca took not only perfect pictures, unforgettable memories home with her, but also the way to display her pictures accurately on the screen and process them ready for printing.
We thank Bianca for her participation in the photo competition and the great weekend and wish her lots of fun with her own Street Photography from Hamburg.
